Ksar Tayarza

A few days ago, I took another trip around the area to the old stomping ground of my friend, Slimane. Below are some images of Ksar Tayarza and surrounding area in which he grew up. This particular ksar is not as old as some of the others in the area, though it is still quite old. Unfortunately, much of it was damaged by flooding a number of years ago and was afterward mostly abandoned.

    Thanks Tom,

I remember trekking across some dry land to visit a Ksar and being aware of all the things that grew in that forbidding terrain. And the heat and amazing clear sky.

I really enjoy seeing where you all are and knowing what you do.

    Love,
    Rebecca

Haunting – and wise not to re-establis in a flood zone
